“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”
Janea Meeks, LCPC, NCC
You remember a time when you felt heard & seen? Or maybe you don’t, and that’s the problem. It has always been you supporting everyone else. But what about you? Why doesn’t that encouraging voice that everyone else depends on, work for you?
Allow me to help
My name is Janea Meeks and I am so glad you’re here! I help teens, adults, couples, and families develop the tools needed to make sense of their emotions and effectively communicate those emotions.
My clients tend to be strong-willed, are rigid in their thinking, and are extremely passionate. They tend to pour into everyone around them and quickly find they have either very little or nothing left for self. Sound familiar? In working with me, clients find that they have a safe space to process through complex emotions and learn to pour back into themselves. In building a healthy relationship with self, they are then able to establish boundaries with others, communicate their emotions effectively and rekindle intimacy.
Many of today’s solutions for building healthy relationships, fail to acknowledge the relationship we have with ourselves, leading so many to feel disconnected and stuck. I know that your journey is unique and only you know what that internal voice sounds like.
We’ll begin by examining your internal voice and relational dynamics that may be causing you to feel bogged down. Then we’ll work on reshaping that internal voice and reconnecting you with your emotions. Through our work together, you’ll gain insight, have a space to process and heal, increase your emotional intelligence, and begin to connect with those around you again.
My training in domestic violence, sexual assault, family systems, communication, emotional intelligence, and several other areas, means I have the expertise you need and deserve.
